When you submit a lead request through our calculator, we collect:

• Location Data: Your county in Ireland
• Energy Profile: Monthly electricity bill, roof orientation, battery preference
• Timeline: When you're interested in installation
• Technical Data: IP address, browser type (via standard analytics)

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your information to:

• Calculate your personalised solar savings estimate
• Match you with SEAI-registered installers serving your county (only if you consented)
• Send installer contact details and your lead information to relevant installers
• Improve our calculator and website (analytics, anonymised)
• Respond to support enquiries

4. Data Sharing

With installers: If you consent, we share your lead (name, email, phone, county, calculator results) with SEAI-registered installers serving your area. They use this to contact you about solar quotes.

With service providers: We use Supabase (database host) and Vercel (website host). Both are GDPR-compliant and store data in the EU.

We do not: Sell, rent, or lease your data. We do not share with advertisers or third parties except installers (with your consent).

5. Data Retention

We retain your lead indefinitely to support follow-up communications and improve our service. You have the right to request deletion of your data at any time. Contact us at privacy@solarsaver.ie to request erasure.

We will delete your data within 30 days of your request, except where legal obligations require us to retain it.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

As a data subject in the EU/Ireland, you have the right to:

Our website may contain links to external sites (SEAI, Supabase docs, etc.). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies before submitting data.
